About

A Woman's Place is in Her Home grew out a year of research including audio interviews, story circles, visits with houseless women, conversations with advocates, volunteers, social services, police, elected officials and community members. Writers Jacqueline Dandeneau, Ali Freedlund and Tammy Rae Scott worked collaboratively to develop the script with the Ensemble using theater, dance and media to bring the research to life. The initial performances played to sold out houses with demands that it must be done again from audience members. After every performance, the cast and crew engaged in talk back sessions where over 50 audience members stayed and they lasted over and hour.
